Christmas Markets in Santa Maria Maggiore
16th edition of Christmas Markets in Santa Maria Maggiore in Vigezzo Valley
From Saturday 6th to Monday 8th December 2014 in Santa Maria Maggiore there will be the largest Christmas Markets of Piedmont!
Long-awaited event with its typical 200 stands with red roof, it’s one of the largest in Italy; in 2013 attracted 50,000 visitors. For the first time this year three days of Christmas atmosphere.
In the heart of Piedmontese Alps, housed in a village that can give the visitor an authentic Christmas atmosphere, thanks to typical mountain architecture and to simple and elegant preparations…
Organized for the sixteenth consecutive year by the local “Pro Loco” and the municipality of Santa Maria Maggiore, markets will involve the entire old town centre and they will welcome 200 exhibitors in the narrow alleys and intimate squares.
Along alleys trunks with fire, a tradition that fascinates kids and warms adults, Christmas songs reinterpreted by jazz and alpine bands, typical wine, coffee and desserts of the Vigezzo Valley, tasty roast chestnuts and many other typical products.
Visit of Christmas Markets of Santa Maria Maggiore can also represent an opportunity to discover two of the most important cultural centres of Piedmont: the famous – and unique in its kind in Italy – Chimney Sweep Museum and the exceptional art gallery of the School Fine Arts Rossetti Valentini.
