Enjoy a thrilling mountain bike ride along the winding paths of Mottarone above Lake Maggiore for stunning views with every turn of the road. You don’t need to be an expert cyclist. If you can cycle, and have strong hands to brake, then you will be fine!
The exact route taken will depend on the weather, and tours are adapted to take in the different colors of the seasons. But expect to see the gentle grassy slopes that divide Lake Maggiore from Lake Orta, and some of the most breathtaking views of the distant Alps.

Discovering hidden places in the Ossola Valley

Experience a mixture of water, nature, and adventure on a half-day trip that takes you canyoning in Ossola Valley, located close to Lake Maggiore.
Start off your day with a transfer from Stresa, Baveno, or Verbania to Premosello Chiovenda. Then, with the help of an alpine guide, you will be taught the basics of canyoning. Put on your wetsuit and your safety gear, and then set off on an expedition that includes walking, climbing, jumping, and abseiling through a deep and wild canyon with carved rock formations. You will follow your guide along an exciting and surprising route, through ravines, along natural pools and slides, and more, as you explore the valley paradise.

Experience on the glacier
Meet in Macugnaga Staffa at 9:00 a.m. ca. with alpine guide. Departure by cableway from Macugnaga to Mount Moro. From the mountain hut, you will start a guided walking tour (3 hours) with easier final crest to reach the summit of Seewijnen. Return to the hut at Restaurant “Lo Smeraldo” in Mount Moro for a snack based on local cold cuts and cheeses. Free time in Macugnaga.

“Ferrata” with guides
Meet in Macugnaga Staffa at 9:00 a.m. ca. with the alpine guide. Departure by cableway from Macugnaga to Mount Moro. From here you will start a 1 hour walk to reach the climbing route at 3.000 metres above sea level. The activity will take about an hour and half, climbing in safety on a protected route for a total elevation gain of 250 m on compact rock. Return to Mount Moro, where you will enjoy typical “Polenta e Spezzatino” (cornmeal porridge and beef stew) at Restaurant “Lo Smeraldo” in Mount Moro. Free time in Macugnaga.

ARONA – Bike in flowers
Sunday, the 21st May 2017, date in Arona for the traditional “Bike in flowers” organized by the Association Pro Loco of Arona! Around 200 colourful and decorated bicycles will invade the little streets of Arona; adults and childrens are invite to beautify their bikes and to take part of this funny walk over two wheel! The course will be around 8 km!

On May 5th, we helped in the organisation of an extraordinary event on Lake Maggiore involving 1000 young Russian university students. They enjoyed various activities including bicycling, trekking and beach games, without forgetting a visit to our beautiful islands to complete the day!
One day of sports and culture with demanding logistics and a tight time frame. 500 people started off hiking and biking in the Natural Reserve in Feriolo while the other half invaded Isola Bella for a visit to the grandiose Borromeo Palace and garden.
1000 GRAZIE to everyone who helped make this day a big success!
MEINA – “Open Sails 2017″
The Meina Naval League organizes for the 30th of April the event “Open Sails”, an open day open to all.
The event aims to give tourists and “Meinesi” a day in the open air;
It will be possible to go on a sailboat ride free of charge, starting from the Naval Base pier. There will also be canoes, sports fishing tests and a sailing simulator available for adults and children.
